AUS-ASTE Amalgamation

Hi Helen: Yes I agree with you about the danger of watering down the effectiveness of AUS in lobbying for the University sector. We might all be involved in education, but that doesn't mean that we should hide under the same flag. The more organisations that can approach Government and highlight their concerns, the better.

Amalgamation will only deprive each group of their independent voice. I think that the academic salaries issue is one that is too important to lose and could be difficult to argue collectively.
